Golden tilefish

A local deepwater fish caught in 600 to 1,000 feet of water. The meat is white, flaky and sweet. Great for baking or broiling.

Mahi-mahi

Locally harvested and kept right in our showcase. Typically caught locally in the spring, and available frozen in the market year-round.

Red snapper

Caught locally in season by our own fishermen, and available year-round from the Gulf of Florida.

Grouper

Available year-round, sourced locally and from the Gulf Coast of Florida.

Local wild-caught shrimp

Brought in by boats all along the East Coast and unloaded at Safe Harbor. Locally known as "Mayport shrimp."

House-smoked fish dip

Our recipe is over 40 years old. We smoke fish in house several times a week for the dip, and also smoke salmon, salmon belly and other items that are available seasonally.

From ocean to table

Our local commercial fishermen work hard to make ocean-to-table meals possible. Alongside the boats at our own dock, we work with boats from Cortez, St. Augustine, and other ports up and down the South Atlantic coast, as far north as South Carolina, so you can enjoy fresh, wild-caught seafood any night of the week.

Our story

James Freeman and John Polston started King's Seafood in 1988. More than thirty years later, we still bring fresh seafood in from the Atlantic Coast.

1988: two partners, one idea

James heard about a young man named John, who was making a name for himself buying and selling fish from local fishermen at Inlet Harbor Marina. They started King's Seafood together, working out of the Orange Isle Campgrounds and other locations.
Under the Dunlawton Bridge

They settled under the bridge and opened a small storefront and wholesale facility.
Today: Rose Bay

We're at Rose Bay, in the old Brigadoon's Fish Camp, with the same seafood and service. We've since opened The Shack right alongside the market, serving that same fresh catch cooked to order.
